Since 1990 at the end of every year, an employee is singled out for their outstanding contributions over and above their job description. This year for the second time since 1990, we have awarded two employees the Commitment of Excellence Award, Joan Tobin and Ayoub El Fougani.

Joan Tobin has been a member of the Pillar House family since 1978. During this twenty-two-year time period, she has held many positions, most recently Lead Hostess. During all of the changes, Joan continues to strive for excellence in everything she does. She has taught so many of us so many things in her subtle, professional approach to a task.

Ayoub El Fougani is a man of many titles. He is foremost a server, the "wine guy" when needed and the manager of renovations during the July close down. The Pillar House needs something done, Ayoub is there. He is the man that every business needs to help keep it running smoothly. The entire Pillar House family, both present and past, was very pleased at the announcement of this award.
