Dining Perspectives
Function. An official ceremony or formal social occasion. This is the description of the word function found in the American Heritage Dictionary. However, this does not begin to describe the meetings of a group of book club member's whose lively discussions take place in the Oak Room on a regular basis. Nor is this the impression I have of families and friends that meet in the Quinobequin Room to celebrate an occasion. However, it does present the correct image of the board of directors from a local company who meet quarterly. Or I should say it is an accurate description of the function up until the business of the evening is completed. As most of you know via Pillar House history or our web site, there are four function or private dining rooms on the second floor which can accommodate as few a eight guests or as many as forty. We also offer cocktail and hors d'oevres receptions for larger parties. Parties from eight to fifteen choose from the food selections on our dining room menu and parties of sixteen or more choose from our function menu. Chef Scott Pelletier can also design a menu that is tailored to suit your individual tastes. The Pillar House private dining rooms are a perfect location for your private party/corporate event, with a room to suit every need. The dining rooms provide classic atmosphere reflecting the tastes of today. Our location and ample parking is another benefit. I look forward to hearing from you to help you plan you next "official ceremony or formal social occasion."
